Azerbaijanis stage rally before UN HQ against Armenian provocation

Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis in Switzerland and Cultural Center of Azerbaijanis in Switzerland held a rally before the UN headquarters in Geneva to protest the provocations of the Armenian armed forces in the direction of the Tovuz region of the border with Azerbaijan.

The State Committee on Work with the Diaspora told Report members of the Diaspora, and representatives of Turkish communities joined the campaign.

Coordinator of Coordination Council of Switzerland Azerbaijanis Akbar Ganja, chairman of the International Union of Democrats in Switzerland, Murat Şahin, President of the International Union for Human Rights and Development Ender Demirtash and others delivered speeches at the event.

They expressed confidence that independent and peace-lover Azerbaijan, which respects the norms of international law and attaches great importance to human values, will stand firm in any trial and liberate Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenian occupation.

"As the Turkish nation, we will continue to stand by our Azerbaijani brothers, as always. We once again declare it to the whole before the UN building," Murat Shahin said.

Those who addressed in the protest campaign urged the UN to organize a mission to investigate the provocations and attacks of Armenia, and the world community to take measures against the occupier Armenia. 

Slogans as "Justice for Azerbaijan," "Nagorno Garabagh belongs to Azerbaijan," "Stop Armenian occupation" were chanted in the rally.
