Baku. 21 November. REPORT.AZ/ The presentation of the "Baku Process" was held at the UN Alliance of Civilizations Group of Friends Ministerial Meeting in New York.
Report informs citing the Ministry of Culture that the UN Secretary General, the UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations and senior officials from the member states attended the Conference.
Speaking at the conference, Minister of Culture Abulfaz Garayev touched upon the processes taking place in the modern world, Azerbaijan's contribution to dialogue on civilizations and cultures around the world. The minister said that the “Baku Process” was put forward by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2008 and World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue by the UN General Assembly in 2010. He noted that today the "Baku Process" is the only platform that has been partnered by four UN specialized international organizations, and this fact was specifically noted by the UN Secretary General in 2017 and reflected in a UN resolution adopted in December last year.
Then a film dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the "Baku Process" was shown.
