The city of Shusha will become a popular tourist destination soon, Pakistani expert and director of the Policy Research Center (PRC) Ahsan Hamid Durrani told Report.
“As a teenager, I was interested in studying the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and the problem of Armenia’s occupation of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. And today, having visited these places, it pains me to see how during the occupation Armenia destroyed the soul of Karabakh - the city of Shusha. But I am also sincerely glad to see how Azerbaijan is restoring everything that was destroyed: religious sites are being restored, educational and cultural institutions, residential buildings are being reconstructed,” he said.
Ahsan Hamid Durrani expressed hope to visit Shusha more frequently.
