As many as 402 new sites of historical, architectural or archaeological value in the liberated Azerbaijani territories that were not previously registered by the state have been identified, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Culture.
The ministry noted that systematic work is being carried out to register, inventory, restore and preserve historical and cultural monuments.
"The Ministry of Culture has registered 705 monuments, conducted field research, compiled electronic maps of monuments, carried out high-quality photo recording and filming using drones, and studied archival documents," the update says.
The ministry added that due to the mine danger, the inventory of some objects cannot yet be carried out in full, but continues as demining progresses. The ministry also emphasized that based on the inventory, electronic maps of immovable historical and cultural monuments in the liberated territories have been developed using the Google Earth program.
The collected data is integrated into the Karabakh digital geographic information system created by the State Property Service for the efficient collection and processing of information.
