Azerbaijan represented at Beijing International Book Fair

Azerbaijan is represented at the Beijing International Book Fair, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in China, Report informs, citing the ministry.

The exhibition, organized by the China National Publications Import and Export Group, brought together more than 1,700 participants from 80 countries this year, including more than 200 international libraries and research institutes. The honorary guest country of the exhibition is Malaysia.

Azerbaijan is participating in the opening ceremony with a large delegation, including representatives of publishing houses and well-known writers. Within the framework of the exhibition, the rich literary and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan is presented to the world audience through a national stand and presentation zone.

At the national stand, which will display 332 copies of 175 books reflecting the history, culture and literature of Azerbaijan, visitors will be able to participate in presentations, meetings and discussions dedicated to Azerbaijani book art for five days.

Various professional events are also planned during the exhibition to expand the opportunities for cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and China, promote literary translations, as well as introduce local publications to international readers.
