The city of Munich, Germany, recently hosted the premiere of Azerbaijani Director Rufat Asadov's documentary film, My Friend Meir.
The event was attended by prominent figures from the Azerbaijani and Jewish diasporas in Munich, as well as cultural figures.
Speaking at the premiere, director Rufat Asadov emphasized the significance of Azerbaijan's successful state-level initiatives in fostering ethnic coexistence. He highlighted the film's portrayal of the Mountain Jews living in Azerbaijan, their unwavering love for their birthplace, and their deep-rooted connection to their motherland.
Asadov further noted that the film showcases the carefully preserved customs, traditions, and national-spiritual values of the Mountain Jews in Azerbaijan.
The film is a joint work of Azerbaijani and Israeli filmmakers.
