Vladimir Ilyichev: Russia plans to systematically integrate carbon credits into its economy

Russia continues negotiations on climate financing, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Vladimir Ilyichev told Report.
"In principle, we see that the parties have achieved some positive results on Article 6, so we hope to agree on other key indicators as well," he said.
The deputy minister noted that Russia plans to systematically integrate carbon loans into its economy: "We have repeatedly spoken about this topic, that we are gradually moving in this direction and proceeding based on our capabilities."
"We have quite intensive interaction with our Azerbaijani colleagues, primarily considering that we have good scientific potential," he concluded.
