UNICEF: It is important to invest in children's green and digital skills

Investing in children's green and digital skills is currently a very important issue, Kitty van der Heijden, UNICEF's Deputy Executive Director for Partnerships, told a COP29 session on "Baku Human Development Initiative for Climate Resilience" held in Baku, Report informs.

"We welcome the joint statement on the Baku Human Development Initiative for Climate Resilience and its key principles. When talking about human development, I want to especially emphasize that we must start with children first. Investing in children is not only right but also very important," Heijden emphasized.

"Children need green and digital skills. Enhancing young people's skills for the inevitable transition is an important part of human development. I would like to thank the COP29 Presidency for bringing this issue to the agenda," the UNICEF official said.
