The negative impact inflicted on nature by the war in Ukraine will be felt for a long time, Oleksandr Todorchuk, the founder of the Ukrainian animal protection initiative UAnimals, told Report.
"Even after the end of the war (in Ukraine), the population will continue to feel the consequences of the damage done to nature by the conflict for a long time. Since the beginning of full-scale military operations, UAnimals has been working to recognize ecocide as a crime and seeking a response from the international community. Reality is shaped not by artificial intelligence, but by people. Our future depends on us. And now our reality is a world where the environment remains vulnerable to various threats," he noted.
