Pulgar-Vidal: COP29 will focus on global adaptation model this year

COP29, which will take place in Baku at the end of the year, will focus on the global adaptation model, former Minister of Environment of Peru Manuel Pulgar-Vidal said at a panel discussion within the framework of the XI Global Baku Forum.

"Work on the global adaptation model is progressing. This is a search for criteria, indicators, this is a search for ways to measure. Because this is the only way we can also attract funds for adaptation," he said.

He also noted that one of the points for the Paris agreement to be effective should be the involvement of society in climate change issues, including the active participation of youth and women.

"The Paris Agreement is and can remain the ideal way to unite the world if we can implement it," he said.
