Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan forge new Partnership in electricity distribution

Azerishig and National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to foster cooperation in the energy sector. The signing ceremony took place during a meeting between Vugar Ahmadov, Chairman of Azerishig OJSC, and Altynbek Rysbekov, Head of National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan OJSC, who is currently visiting Azerbaijan to participate in COP29.

The Kyrgyz delegation received detailed information about innovations in distribution networks, including digital technologies, the transition to 35/04 kV networks, managing charging points through a unified platform, and the implementation of other modern technologies. Opportunities for collaboration in these areas were also discussed.

The signed document highlights key topics such as innovative technologies, green energy solutions, digital transformation<, and enhancing the reliability and sustainability of power networks. Distribution networks in both countries aim to leverage international experience in these areas. Regular meetings between specialists are planned to further exchange knowledge and develop professional skills.
