Joan Laporta visits pavilion of AZCHEMCO at COP29

During his visit to Azerbaijan for COP29, Barcelona Football Club President Joan Laporta visited the pavilion of AZCHEMCO, an Azerbaijani manufacturer of liquid and water-soluble fertilizers, Report informs.

The visiting delegation watched a video about the history of a project to restore saline soils and return them to agriculture, implemented in cooperation between AZCHEMCO and Azerbaijan's Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

Company representatives presented the project's achievements, where laboratory studies by AzeLab and Intertek revealed a reduction in soil salinity from 3.6 to 0.3, and electrical conductivity from 9,140 to 291. This confirmed the possibility of using saline soil in agriculture.

At the end of the visit, Barcelona Club President Joan Laporta planted strawberry seedlings in the restored soil.

AZCHEMCO also presented Joan Laporta with a carpet exclusively manufactured by Azerkhalcha enterprise.
