Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy discusses green energy cooperation with Total Energies

Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov discussed cooperation in renewable energy production with Total Energies CEO Patrick Pouyanné.

Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy, that the parties had a business lunch within the framework of COP29.

The sides exchanged views on industry leaders' activities to reduce methane emissions and the use of Azerbaijan's potential in this field. They also exchanged views on the implementation of Total Energies' wind and solar energy projects and energy storage systems in Azerbaijan. The company expressed interest in participating in renewable energy projects in the Caspian region.

They also exchanged views on opportunities to expand cooperation for the intensive promotion of "green energy" in our country.
