Dean of ADA: Organizing horticultural exhibitions in Azerbaijan important in terms of preparation for COP29

The organization of exhibitions dedicated to horticulture in Azerbaijan is important in terms of preparation for the COP29 conference, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences of ADA University Matteo Vittuari told journalists at the Italian-Azerbaijani horticultural exhibition in Baku, Report informs.

“Such an event is very important, it is a program in sustainable horticultural systems, so it is about knowledge, innovation, technology in horticulture. This is extremely important because the sector now is innovation-driven, data-driven, technology-driven, and it is important also if we think about sustainability, and if we think about the challenge that Azerbaijan took this year in order to organize COP29, it is important to look at the contribution that the agricultural sector can give for environmental sustainability, but also for social sustainability,” he noted.

Vittuari emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Italy are at a high level, and the Italo-Azerbaijan University plays a significant role in further strengthening ties between the two countries.
