Preparations for COP29 almost over at Baku Olympic Stadium

The preparations at the Baku Olympic Stadium, set to host the upcoming COP29 climate conference, is nearing completion with an impressive 99% of the construction work already finished, Azer Guliyev, Director of the Venues Construction Department at COP29 Azerbaijan Operations Company told journalists, Report informs.

Guliyev revealed that only minor tasks remain before the venue can be handed over to the United Nations. "The process of restoring the used areas to their best condition is also being finalized," he added.

Emphasizing the eco-friendly nature of the construction, Guliyev highlighted that "all materials have been installed according to sustainable standards, and most of what you see around are reusable materials."
