Anti-nuclear energy protest held at COP29

A protest against the expansion of nuclear energy use was held in the Blue Zone of COP29.

According to Report, the protest was organized by the international organization "Nuclear power is not the Answer!"

Activists cite "severe pollution," "excessive danger," "high costs," and "excessive slowness" as their main arguments against nuclear energy.

"Nuclear companies are simply making money from their projects by offering unfeasible initiatives," said one of the protest participants from Germany, Günter Germeier.

According to him, nuclear energy is so expensive that if these technologies were to enter the international market with open access, they would cease to exist due to unprofitability. Germeier also pointed out that nuclear energy is too dangerous and pollutes the environment no less than fossil fuels.
