TurkPA official calls Baku an important center of cooperation in Turkic world

Baku has become one of the important centers of cooperation connecting different regions of the Turkic world, Deputy Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TurkPA) Muhammet Alper Hayali said at an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan.

Report quotes him as saying the location of the Union of Professional Accounting and Auditing Regulatory Bodies of Turkic States in Baku is of particular importance. The establishment of the union will complement the strengthening institutional cooperation and economic integration of the countries of the Turkic world.

"Political will alone is not enough to develop economic ties, increase trade and facilitate investment. Reliable, transparent and compatible institutional systems are necessary," Hayali noted.
