Trade turnover between China's Guangdong and Azerbaijan up by 80%

The trade turnover between China's Guangdong Province and Azerbaijan exceeded $556 million in 2024, Lin Keqing, chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said at the Azerbaijan-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference, Report informs.

According to Keqing, Guangdong Province is the largest and most populous province in China: "In the first quarter of this year, Guangdong's GDP exceeded 3.35 trillion yuan ($466.3 billion), and foreign metal exports reached 2.14 trillion yuan ($297.9 billion). In recent years, the volume of trade between Guangdong and Azerbaijan has continued to increase, and the potential for import-export cooperation is constantly expanding."

Lin Keqing added that in 2024, the volume of import-export transactions between Guangdong and Azerbaijan increased by more than 80% year-on-year: "We welcome Azerbaijan's supply of higher-quality products to Guangdong. We encourage enterprises on both sides to expand investment."
