A recently opened textile factory in the village of Zerti in Azerbaijan's Lachin District is preparing to expand its workforce as part of a broader push to boost employment and economic activity in the region.
LATIFA, the garment production facility, plans to increase its staff to 120 employees, the factory's director, Guloghlan Hasanov, told Report during a media tour titled "In the Footsteps of the President."
The move is intended to provide stable jobs for residents of Lachin and surrounding villages.
According to Hasanov, the factory is expected to produce approximately 2,000 textile items per day, including home textiles, workwear, sportswear, and other garments.
"The new production facilities established in Lachin are equipped with innovative technologies, which is particularly important in enhancing the export potential of our products," he said.
President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the LATIFA factory on May 27.
