Sahil Babayev: Azerbaijan has so far invested $90M in Romania

Romania has, so far, invested $30 million in Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan has invested $90 million in Romania, Sahil Babayev, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, said at a briefing on the results of the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Romania Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Trade, Economic Relations, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, held in Baku Monday, Report informs.

The minister said that there are favorable opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, transport, tourism, agriculture, healthcare, and culture.

Babayev added that the volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Romania in 2023 was $670 million: "The largest part of the trade turnover—$605 million was made up of exports from Azerbaijan to Romania."
