President Ilham Aliyev signs order to liquidate Azercontract OJSC

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an order to liquidate the State Contract Corporation Azercontract OJSC and regulate the issues arising from this decision.
According to Report, the liquidation will come into effect from December 1, 2024.
Under the order, the responsibilities of purchasing natural gas from domestic gas producers, organizing its transportation, and selling it to internal distributors and consumers will now be carried out by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
