More than 4,000 Turkish companies are actively operating in Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, said at the Türkiye-Azerbaijan business forum held in Ankara, Report informs.

According to him, an attractive investment environment has been formed in Azerbaijan, and the interests of foreign investors and the funds invested here are protected by the state: "Over the past 20 years, $310 billion have been invested in the economy of Azerbaijan, $200 billion of which were invested in the oil and gas sector. This is the result of the favorable capital climate in Azerbaijan. So, more than 4,000 Turkish companies are actively operating in Azerbaijan."

He noted that Turkish companies are also closely involved in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan: "More than 20 Turkish companies are implementing about 50 projects in those areas. The total value of those projects is $4 billion. At the same time, Azerbaijani companies have established businesses in Türkiye in various fields and contributed to the economy of the brotherly country."

The Prime Minister emphasized that the volume of mutual investment between the two countries continues to increase.

"Türkiye has so far invested more than $16 billion in Azerbaijan. The amount of capital invested by Azerbaijan is more than $20 billion," Asadov said.
