Over 50% exports from Azerbaijan accounts for EU countries

Baku. 23 February. REPORT.AZ/ Trade turnover of Azerbaijan with countries of the European Union (EU) in January, 2018, has made $ 675 488,87 thsd.

Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee (SCC), for the reporting period, $ 535 255.73 thsd of trade turnover accounted for export operations, while import operations amounted to $ 140 233.14 thsd. Thus, trade turnover surplus amounted to $ 395 022.59 thsd.

EU countries accounted for 39.11% of total trade turnover, as 51.53% of exports and 20.36% of imports with Azerbaijan were made with these countries.

According to report, Italy leads the list of countries dealing in trade turnover with Azerbaijan. Trade with Italy amounted to $ 297 817,01 thsd, which makes 17.24% of total trade turnover in Azerbaijan. Export to Italy has made $280 233,85 thsd, making 26.98% of total exports, while import from Italy has made $ 17,583.16 thsd or 2.55% of total imports to Azerbaijan. Italy takes the tenth place for imports in list of countries trading with Azerbaijan.

Notably, the report includes data on volumes of exported crude oil and natural gas declared by the customs authorities.
