Although the total area of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) members is more than 4 million square kilometers, the population is more than 160 million people, and the GDP is about $1.2 trillion, economic ties between countries, including the volume of trade turnover, do not reflect the existing potential, the Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency under the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan, Orkhan Mammadov, said at the II Forum of Agribusiness of Turkic States in Baku
“We have large territories, rich natural resources, and a very favorable geographical location. That is, there is every opportunity for a significant increase in trade turnover and the formation of a new format of economic relations,” Mammadov added.
