It is necessary to tighten the rules regarding taxis in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani MP Elnur Allahverdiyev said at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, Report informs.
"We have international taxi services. In Türkiye, these services are seriously studied and kept under control. Türkiye has recently banned the activities of Uber," Allahverdiyev noted.
The parliamentarian noted that, on the other hand, only Bolt operates in the capital of neighboring Georgia: "We can also use this practice and attract 3-5 taxi aggregators to fair competition."
In response to this, MP Tahir Mirkishili noted that the corresponding restriction is envisaged in the law that is currently being developed.
