EY organized major tree-planting event

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, EY Azerbaijan held its second major tree-planting event on the Absheron Peninsula, northeast of Baku. Nearly 80 EY staff members, along with their children, participated in this initiative, demonstrating EY Azerbaijan’s dedication to supporting the country’s sustainable development. Among the participants of the tree-planting event were Ilhama Gadimova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and COP 29 Baku Coordinator; Firudin Tagiyev, Head of the Land Use Control Department of the Ministry of Agriculture; Faig Khudayev, Director of Agricultural Research Institute of Crop Husbandry at the Ministry of Agriculture; Aybaniz Huseynova and Ruhangiz Amirova, academic staff from Sumgait State University, together with eco-volunteers from the University; and Elnur Islamov, Head of the Greening.Global Platform.

As a global firm, EY is committed to managing its operations to minimize environmental impact. During the event, staff members, managers, and partners planted 300 trees, reflecting the firm’s mission to build a more sustainable working world. This special event was dedicated to commemorating the company’s 30-year presence in Azerbaijan.

This year’s event is particularly significant as it aligns with the ongoing global discussions at COP 29, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, to be held in Baku later this year.
