Customs officers prevented smuggling of 2 mln USD from Azerbaijan last year

Baku. 19 January.REPORT.AZ/ In 2016, Azerbaijani export decreased by 28.17% compared to 2015 and dropped from 12.729 bln AZN to 9.143.
Report informs, Chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC) Aydin Aliyev said addressing a briefing for journalists.
According to him, decline, also, was observed in import last year: "Import made 9.216 bln AZN in 2015, while dropped to 8.253 bln AZN in 2016".
A.Aliyev noted that last year customs officers prevented smuggling of 2 mln USD from Azerbaijan.
