Consumer market grows by 5% in Azerbaijan

In January 2025, the value of goods sold and services provided to meet consumer needs in Azerbaijan amounted to 6.1 billion manats ($3.59 billion), 5% more than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Retail trade turnover accounted for 78.8% of the monthly turnover, paid services provided to the population accounted for 18.1%, and public catering turnover accounted for 3.1%.
Over the past year, the value of goods sold and services provided by economic entities operating in the non-state sector increased by 4.8% to 5.9 billion manats ($3.47 billion), 46.6% of which was formed through the activities of individual entrepreneurs.
In January 2025, one consumer spent an average of 600.7 manats ($353.35), or 52 manats ($30.59) more in nominal terms than a year ago.
