Belgian envoy to Azerbaijan: Participation of Belgian companies in infrastructure projects in Karabakh possible

Azerbaijan and Belgium have discussed prospects for mutual trade and investment opportunities in the non-oil sector, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO).

These issues were discussed at a meeting between AZPROMO Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev and Belgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Julien de Fraipont.

The parties emphasized that the meetings with the Belgian side in Brussels in May last year and in Baku in February this year will contribute to the development of mutual economic relations between the two countries.

The ambassador emphasized the great potential for expanding trade and economic partnership between Belgium and Azerbaijan, highly appreciated the prospects for cooperation in trade, investment, pharmaceuticals, transport and logistics.

He added that Belgian companies can take part in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the Karabakh region.
