AZPROMO: Azerbaijani businesspeople's trip to Spain will be organized in 2025

A trip of Azerbaijani businesspeople to Spain will be organized by the end of this year, Yusif Abdullayev, executive director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), told journalists on the sidelines of the Azerbaijan-Spain business forum held in Baku, Report informs.

According to Abdullayev, the trip will cover issues related to both investment projects and import-export operations.

The AZPROMO executive director noted that although the value of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Spain exceeded $1 billion in 2022, this figure decreased to $899 million in 2023, and to $310 million in 2024 due to a decline in energy exports: "Today's meeting aims to boost trade turnover, including exports and investments in the non-oil and gas sector. More than 20 companies from Spain and more than 50 from Azerbaijan participated in the meeting," he noted.

According to Abdullayev, Spain participates in Azerbaijani energy projects, and moreover, this country has extensive experience in the field of alternative energy: "We can benefit from Spain's experience."
