Azerbaijan–US trade turnover exceeds $467M in six months

In January–June 2026, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the United States amounted to nearly $467.2 million, marking a 21.3% decrease year-on-year (YoY), Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
During the reporting period, trade with the US accounted for 1.9% of Azerbaijan's total turnover.
Overall, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $24.661 billion in the first half of 2026, representing a 1.1% YoY increase. Of this, $16.320 billion came from exports and $8.341 billion from imports. Year‑on‑year, exports rose by 26.7%, while imports dropped by 27.6%.
As a result, a trade surplus of $7.979 billion was recorded in the first half, which is 5.9 times higher than in the same period last year.
