Azerbaijan to introduce AI to speed up customs processes

Work has begun in Azerbaijan on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to speed up customs processes, the head of the Department for the Organization of Customs Work of the State Customs Committee Vasif Gurbanov said at an event on the topic "Digital Customs and Media," Report informs.

He noted that the use of AI in the customs sphere will lead to the acceleration of the border crossing and registration process: "The use of artificial intelligence opens up great advantages for us, including the implementation of certain analyses."

Gurbanov noted that this process can be carried out to a certain level with the help of human labor: "But artificial intelligence has very great potential. In Azerbaijan, other structures are also interested in the use of artificial intelligence. In general, its use is a modern requirement."
