Azerbaijan starts importing truck from another country

In January 2025, Azerbaijan imported 645 trucks worth $7.11 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

This is 40% less in value and 30% more in quantity than the indicator for the same period in 2024.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 419 trucks (+8%) from Germany for $4 million (+9%), 43 trucks (+87%) from Japan for $960,000 (-24%), 143 trucks (+88%) from China for $958,000 (-75%), 6 trucks (no imports were made a year ago) from Spain for $512,000, and 6 trucks (+6 times) from Russia for $128,500 (+8.5%).

This year, for the first time in the last 14 years (note: the official statistics on foreign trade in public use are as of 2011), a supply was made from Hungary (one unit worth $9,000).
