Azerbaijan starts importing PVC from Lithuania

Azerbaijan imported 31,322 tons of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) worth $25.47 million in 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

This is 4% less in value and 5% more in quantity than the 2023 figure.

Last year, Azerbaijan purchased 24,934 tons (+51%) of PVC worth $18.9 million (+38%) from Russia, 3,748 tons (-16%) worth $3.37 million (-23%) from Iran, 1,247 tons (+34%) worth $1.57 million (+31%) from Türkiye, 991.4 tons (-87%) worth $1 million (-85%) from the US, and 194 tons (+3.2 times) worth $236,000 (+2.8 times) from China.

In 2024, for the first time in 13 years (the official statistics on foreign trade in public date back to 2011), supplies were made from Lithuania (20.37 tons worth $48,300).
