Azerbaijan starts importing horses from two more countries

In January-April 2025, Azerbaijan imported 10 live horses (purebred, meat horses, and others) worth $67,400, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
This is 12 times more in value terms and 3 times more in quantity than the same period last year.
During the specified period, Azerbaijan purchased two horses worth $56,600 from Romania, six horses (+2 times) from Russia worth $8,100 (+50%), one horse (no supplies a year ago) worth $1,500 from the Netherlands, and one horse worth $1,300 from Portugal.
This year, for the first time in the last 14 years (note: the official statistics on foreign trade in public use are as of 2011), supplies were made from Romania and Portugal.
