Azerbaijan starts importing figs from 4 more countries

In January-July of this year, Azerbaijan imported 49 tons of figs (fresh or dried) worth $168,000, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

This is 2.4 times more than in the same period in 2022 in value terms and 2.7 times more in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 47 tons (+2.6 times) of figs from Türkiye worth $156,600 (2.3 times more than in the previous year), from Israel - 1.5 tons worth $5,300, from Brazil – 100 kg (+56%) for $1,500 (+76%), from Luxembourg – 100 kg (there were no deliveries a year ago) for $2,300, from Iran - 200 kg (-70%) for $1,000 (-53%).

This year, for the first time in the last 12 years, supplies were made from South Africa (30 kg worth $300), Spain (10 kg worth $200), from Malta (20 kg worth $500) and Israel.
