Azerbaijan sharply reduces import of mobile phones from main supply market

In January 2022, Azerbaijan imported 119,640 mobile phones worth $22.17 million, Report informs, citing the figures of the State Statistics Committee that compared to the same period last year, imports decreased in value terms by 5.5%, in quantitative terms - by 19.4%.

During the reporting period, 57,747 devices were imported from China worth $10.91 million, from Vietnam - 52,587 devices worth $9.14 million, from India - 9,305 devices worth $2.11 million, and from Germany - one device worth $2,520 dollars.

Compared to January 2022, deliveries from China decreased by 45% and 32.3%, respectively, from Vietnam increased by 67.8% and 87.2%, from India decreased by 24.2% and 12.4%, and from Germany decreased by 66.7% and 71.1%.

China accounted for 56% of mobile phones delivered to Azerbaijan over 12 months of last year.
