Azerbaijan sharply reduces export of petroleum coke to main supply market

In the first half of 2022, Azerbaijan exported 69,456 tons (-56.5%) of petroleum coke worth $13.2 million (+21.5%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

During the reporting period, 33,808 tons (-22.6 %) worth $6.55 million (+91.2%) were exported to India, 25,429 tons (-0.8%) worth $4.8 million (+3 times) to China, 7,677 tons (-91%) worth $1.3 million (76.3%) to Russia, 2,233 tons (-36.7%) worth $424,00 (+16.2%) to Ukraine, and 310.3 tons worth $59,000 to Tajikistan.

After three months, Tajikistan started to import petroleum coke from Azerbaijan.

Of 280,876 tons of petroleum coke exported by Azerbaijan last year (to four countries), 62.8% went to Russia.
