Azerbaijan sees 6% surge in taxpayers

As of September 1, 2024, there were 1,570,205 taxpayers in Azerbaijan, which is 6.1% more than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Tax Service under the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan.

According to the Tax Service, 87.2% of the taxpayers were individuals, 12.8% were legal entities and other organizations. Over the past year, the number of individuals increased by 5.9%, and legal entities by 7.3%. By the end of August, the number of registered commercial organizations reached 184,820 units, which is 10.9% more than last year's figure.
