Azerbaijan’s wheat imports almost halve in value

Azerbaijan imported 328,500 tons of wheat, valued at $72.7 million in the first five months of 2024, Report informs, referring to the country’s State Customs Committee.
Compared to the corresponding period of 2023, the country’s wheat import fell by 121.6 tons or 27 percent in volume and $62.2 million or 46.1 percent.
During the reporting period, wheat imports accounted for one percent of Azerbaijan’s total imports.
