Azerbaijan's hybrid car imports from China soar

In January 2025, Azerbaijan imported 3,654 hybrid cars (vehicles powered by an electric motor in addition to an internal combustion engine) worth $72.4 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

This is 80% more in value and 3 times more in quantity year-on-year.

In the first month of 2025, Azerbaijan purchased 2,635 hybrid cars (+7 times) from China for $52.6 million (+4.7 times), 608 hybrid cars (+79%) from Japan for $8 million (+16%), 108 hybrid cars (-32%) from the United States for $2.8 million (-56%), 142 hybrid cars (+56%) from South Korea for $2.8 million (+77%), and 42 hybrid cars (-59%) from Germany for $1.8 million (-71%).
