Azerbaijan resumes salt supplies from Denmark

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan imported 11,692 tons of table salt worth $1.45 million, marking a year-on-year growth of 25% in volume and 31% in value, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported salt from:
- Iran: 9,043 tons (+45%) worth $742,000 (+48%);
- Russia: 1,288 tons (-51%) worth $208,000 (-45%);
- Belarus: 643 tons (+46 times) worth $162,000 (+27 times);
- Pakistan: 168 tons (+3 times) worth $99,100 (+2.4 times);
- Türkiye: 230 tons (-3%) worth $99,000 (+11%).
Azerbaijan has resumed salt imports from Denmark (0.03 tons worth $140) after a 10-year and 5-month break.
