Azerbaijan resumes salt export to 2 countries

In January-May this year, 8,998 tons of salt (edible, iodized) were sent from Azerbaijan abroad for $920,660.

According to Report's calculations, based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 28.3% more in value terms and 16.6% more in quantitative terms compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, 3,614 tons (2.4 times more than a year ago) of products worth $484,980 (3.1 times more) were sent to Georgia, to Russia - 5,302 tons (-14.6%) in the amount of $424,970 (-24.7%), to Ukraine - 59.7 tons in the amount of $9,000, to Latvia - 20 tons (no deliveries a year ago) in the amount of $1,420 and Estonia - 1.5 tons in the amount of $200.

After 2 years and 4 months, deliveries to Ukraine were resumed, after 1 year and 9 months - to Estonia.

During the reporting period, 4,120 tons of products were imported from abroad in the amount of $507,870, which is respectively 17% and 11.4% less than the same period last year.

Some 2,259 tons (+26.8%) were imported from Iran in the amount of $180,780 (+27.5%), from Ukraine - 993 tons (-48.5%) in the amount of $132,100 (-50%), Turkiye - 219.96 tons (-38.4) in the amount of $59,740 (-14.3%), Russia - 615.52 tons (-20%), in the amount of $97,130, Pakistan - 24.46 tons (no imports a year ago) in the amount of $28,480.
