Azerbaijan resumes salmon supply from Canada

In January 2026, Azerbaijan imported 37.8 tons of salmon, valued at $334,000, marking a year-on-year decrease of 48% and 19%, respectively, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
During the month, Azerbaijan purchased salmon from:
- Norway: 25.8 tons (+5 times) worth $268,500 (+4 times);
- Canada: 7.9 tons worth $44,000;
- Estonia: 3.8 tons (+27%) worth $14,600 (+2.6 times);
- Türkiye: 0.04 tons (-99%) worth $3,400 (-90%);
- Belarus: 0.1 tons (-63%) worth $1,850 (-67%).
After a break of 1 year and 3 months, Azerbaijan has restored salmon supply from Canada.
