Azerbaijan resumes pineapple purchases from Belgium and Panama

In January-May 2025, Azerbaijan imported 1,245 tons of pineapples (fresh or dried) worth $1.55 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
This is 18% more in value than the same period last year, and 14% less in quantity.
During the specified period, Azerbaijan purchased 1,095 tons (-24%) of pineapples from Costa Rica for $1.2 million (-4%), 54.8 tons (+4 times) from Thailand for $222,000 (+4 times), 68.4 tons (+3,400 times) from China for $88,100 (+628 times), 20.4 tons from Belgium for $24,500, and 3.8 tons from Panama for $4,600.
Azerbaijan has resumed pineapple supplies from Belgium after seven years and two months, and from Panama after two years and nine months.
