Azerbaijan reduces rice imports by nearly 17%

In January-May 2025, Azerbaijan imported 27,210 tons of rice for $25.811 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee.

These figures are 5,376 tons (16.5%) less in terms of volume and $8.066 million (23.8%) less in terms of value compared to the same period last year.

In the first five months of 2025, the moey spent on rice imports accounted for 0.3% of Azerbaijan's total import expenditures.
