At present, during the period of artificial price rise, the adoption of a Competition Code will have an impact on the domestic market of Azerbaijan, MP Vahid Ahmadov said in response to Report's request.
“This code will to some extent eliminate the monopoly and affect the pricing policy,” the parliamentarian believes.
He noted that once this code is adopted, the Competition Agency must be created.
“A body regulating this work must be created. This body should also be directly subordinate to the president, since here we are talking about a very serious development of a market economy. It will be a law that will have a huge impact on the market.”
