Azerbaijan increases imports of pearl, precious and semi-precious stones 

Azerbaijan imported $8.677 million worth of natural or cultured pearls, precious or semi-precious stones, precious metals, metal products, pieces of jewelry, coins in January-May 2021, up $3.768 million or 76.8% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

In the reporting period, the export of natural or cultured pearls, precious or semi-precious stones, precious metals, metal products, pieces of jewelry, coins amounted to $88.657 million, up $23.298 million or 35.6% from a year earlier.

The import of the abovementioned goods made up 0.2% of Azerbaijan’s total imports, export – 1.19% of total exports.
