Azerbaijan increases import and export of fruits, vegetables

In January-March this year, Azerbaijan imported 132,200 tons of fruits and vegetables, Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee.

The cost of fruits and vegetables in this volume amounted to $77.155 million.

Compared to the same period last year, imports of fruits and vegetables increased by 3 tons (slightly) and by $4.692 million (6.4%) in value terms.

During the first three months of this year, Azerbaijan also exported 97,000 tons of fruits and vegetables. The cost of fruits and vegetables in this volume amounted to $124.928 million.

Compared to the same period last year, the export of fruits and vegetables increased by 7,127 tons (7.9%) in quantitative terms and by $27.697 million (28.4%) in value terms.
