Azerbaijan doubles wine import from Georgia

Tbilisi. 5 February. REPORT.AZ/ In January 2019, Azerbaijan imported 5,790 bottles from Georgia, up twice from previous year, Report's local bureau informs citing National Wine Agency of Georgia.

Last month, Georgia exported 6.25 million bottles of wine to 24 countries, up 22% from previous year. Revenues from wine export soared by 33% to $15.2 million.

Most of the wines were imported by Russia (4,602,218 bottles), Ukraine (553,164 bottles), China (281,229 bottles), Poland (268,724 bottles) and Kazakhstan (156,120 bottles).
